"It's the only thing that helps me sleep with my current toothache. With orajel the numbness was more intense but wore off much faster. Regarding the other comment I read here, you are not supposed to use it on Cold Sores. Canker sores and cold sores are not the same thing! Cold sore medicine usually contains an antiviral. Canker sores are inside the mouth. I got them as a kid whenever I drank a lot of orange juice. Cold sores are a variant of the herpes virus, so yeah, numbing it won't help."
