Hatchpak Cocci III Indications

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens 1 day of age or older against coccidiosis due to E. maxima, E. acervulina, and/or E. tenella. The duration of immunity has not been established. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

This vaccine contains the oocysts of Eimeria maxima, Eimeria acervulina, and Eimeria tenella.

Hatchpak Cocci III Caution

Administer only as recommended.

Use entire contents when first opened.

Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label.

Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.

Inactivate unused contents before disposal.

Contains potassium dichromate as a preservative.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2 - 8°C (35 - 46°F). Do not freeze.

SPRAY VACCINATION USING SPRAY CABINET

1. Do not open vaccine vial until ready to vaccinate.

2. Reconstitute vaccine at a rate of 21 to 30 mL per 100 chickens using non-chlorinated water. Dye may be added to monitor spray vaccination dispersal.

3. Administer a full dose to each chicken by spraying each box of 100 chickens with the appropriate volume of vaccine solution based on the dilution rate used to reconstitute (21 to 30 mL).

Precautions

Do not vaccinate diseased chickens.

Vaccinate all chickens on the premises at one time.

Administer a minimum of one dose per chicken.

Avoid stress conditions during and following vaccination.

Do not place chickens in contaminated facilities.

Exposure to disease must be minimized as much as possible.

For veterinary use only.

In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

This vaccine is not recommended for use on chicks receiving a feed containing a coccidiostat or high levels of antibiotic.

Following vaccination, it may be necessary to use drugs for treatment of disease conditions other than coccidiosis. If such drugs, with a coccidiostat activity, are used during the first or second week post-vaccination of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Coccidiosis Vaccine, revaccination is recommended.

The capability of this vaccine to produce satisfactory results depends upon many factors including - but not limited to - conditions of storage and handling by the user, administration of the vaccine, health and responsiveness of individual chickens and degree of field exposure. Therefore, directions for use should be followed carefully. The use of this vaccine is subject to applicable local and federal laws and regulations.
